Black and White 1
When my mother passed away in February 2015 I started this series. I started to work and put the first five together the day she died. I feel as though the beauty this series possesses as a whole is a response from me to turn the ugliness and sorrow my mother gave to me in life and in death into something sublime and full of the joy of beauty. We often don’t have a choice about which sorrow befalls us or when. But we do have a choice about what to do with the pain and grief in sorrow’s wake. We can choose forgiveness, healing and we can also choose to give the world the gift of beauty.
This is the first in the series.
