I’m completely in love with my recent black and white quilts. They remind me of charcoal drawings. However instead of the faint hiss of a charcoal crayon or pencil being drawn across the coarse surface of a sheet of paper the sound of their birth is the soft click of gears and whine of an electric motor in a 60 year old sewing machine. I love the elegant beauty of this piece, the elegant curves and the three dimensionality throughout it. It never ceases to amaze me that this is fabric and thread and a little colored pencil.
Even before I saw the comments, I was thinking…..Susan needs to see this. Lol
